HANN KARAKOY The atelier HANN KARAKOY, which became operational in 2016, aims to be sophisticated and confident in its designs, and supports craftmanship with computers. The products, which are drawn and produced with every technical detail in mind, know no bounds in being contemporary and iconic. Collections tell a different story. The stories are inspired by cinema, art, literature, and music, reflecting a human and humanistic approach at its centre. Our philosophy; making aesthetics accessible and bringing it into people’s lives. Care is taken not to harm the environment in material selection and production for jewelry and objects, most of which are on silver. NUKHET SEBUKCEBE Born in 1969, Nukhet Sebukcebe graduated from Saint Benoit French High School and then from Istanbul University, Department of Sociology. After working in the family company operating in the construction equipment sector for about 10 years, she took jewelry and jewelry design training in various workshops. In 2004, she founded her first company, Nukha, in the field of textile and design and presented her first t-shirt and jewelry designs. In the same period, she graduated from Bilgi University Design Culture Department for 2 years. After taking a break from her business life in 2010, she took a Master’s degree in Art Theory and Criticism at Isik University. In 2016, she brought her long-standing friendship with Sebnem Alemdar to her business life and returned to business life with a new design company under the name of HANN KARAKOY. SEBNEM ALEMDAR Born in Istanbul in 1969, Sebnem Alemdar graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Economics. Alemdar, who started her career in the finance sector, worked as a securities portfolio manager and after leaving banking, she took trainings on computer-aided jewelry and object design. In 2016, she founded HANN KARAKOY DESIGN WORKSHOP with her friend Nukhet Sebukcebe. Alemdar presents her original designs under this brand in Turkiye and internationally.
